Summer 2022 Jenny has been interpreting the Ethel Mairet textiles for groups of visitors to the museum. Her Maxwell counterbalance loom which is of the time and place of the Ditching community, is displayed and Jenny is weaving on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons for the duration. An opportunity for interesting discussion.

Free Talk at the Barnstaple Museum
Thursday September 22nd: Ethel Mairet and the Crafts Study Centre.
Join Greta Bertram from the Crafts Study Centre for illustrated account of Mairet's life and work after her move to Ditchling in 1918.
